Ok, seriously now…
An explanation for my absence, and why I’ll keep poppin’ in and out (April 6th, 2026).
Thank goodness I don’t have a big fanbase (not even a real fanbase lol), ‘cause they would be pretty upset with me.
For context, there’s a big ugly gap between my 2025 activity and today. A big white space with a few greeny spots scattered across the past year. Yeah, it’s a little sad if you compare it with my “glorious” 2021 or 2022 – but I have my reasons.

You see, there’s a difference between doing open source while studying in the pandemic, and doing it right now. I’m doing my Engineering studies (went for SE because, why not? I usually prefer software than hardware), and also I’m giving some chess/robotics classes at a few schools. And honestly my personal life has been on a kind of wild ride recently, so I had to figure out bigger stuff than a pile of code. So yea, it’s pretty hard to figure all those things out and also take care of my OSS projects, update my only ongoing game, and contribute to big stuff like pip or Nox (which tbh were the only things I focused on back then).
Also, take in count the ridiculous amount of different projects I started at the time. In addition to school (tbh college is hard), work as a teacher (which also means a bunch of prep time for teaching some kids how to code, assemble a UNO R3 or checkmate people), I created a lot of different, unifnished projects, both on GitHub and on my computer (my poor laptop is full with carpets with some code files and forgettable resources).

So, I had to suspend most of my online activity to focus.
But this break also came with some benefits. For a reason, they’ve been sticking a lot with Java at college, so I hope I’d be able to make some cool stuff in Java. My English has been getting better (gentle reminder than I’m latino!). And also I believe I’m more confident with previous skills like Python, Arduino, C++ in general, electronics, calculus, etc… Hope that helps me come up with better projects and improve current ones.
Now, this post doesn’t mean I’m fully returning to Github. Let’s be real, I’m not done yet with the big stuff in my life, and time is somehow short most of the year. However, I’m seeking to save more time in the week to code, which include doing more open-source! I can’t lock in like it’s 2020, but definitely I’ll be sticking around more on GitHub and my projects.
And that’s it. I think it wasn’t a big loss in the meantime, but I apologize if you expected me to hang around more or if I abandoned responsibilities without noticing. I’ll try to recover some activity, starting right now with all that stuff that was in progress :)

Hopefully not! I know I promised a lot of stuff last year (and did almost nothing), but my first step in my recovery is to revisit those points in my 2025 list, with some actual progression going around:

I’m shutting down a bunch of projects that can’t be done right now. This includes a couple games (all those platformer-like pyxel attempts to make a game, to later replace them with something better), DiddiOS (an insane concept I just can’t work on), and a couple more if needed. They were great as sketches across my ongoing career, but some of them should just be archived for good.

No “Negociador” by now. This project was initially a spiritual successor of another dead project, “ControlDeAgua”, inspired by some conversations with a fellow coder/robotics-lady (idk the real term) in my town. Frome her own ideas and my own ambitions from CDA (to abbreviate), I coded a loose concept that would be later called “Negociador”. But, after my constant breaks, I left it as “just a cool idea”. Also, I lost my way to monetize active development (the original motivator of CDA), and my friend and I, though we keep in touch, have other goals rather than developing this. However I won’t archive the repo since I may revisit the concept at a better time.

Diddi and The Bugs is getting updated. Not only the game itself (which might now be a little outdated and is missing a couple extra features), but I’m thinking of a smarter way to administrate versions on itch.io, and I’m trying to finally push forward the DLC thing I’ve been talking about in the past, which leads us to the next topic…

Is Ko-Fi coming back to life? Probably! If I figure out a couple things, I’ll update my Ko-Fi with some posts (my art style has changed in the past year, so I may show it!), more Comissions (I’ve improved at Minecraft skins, and maybe I can sell other things) and a Shop (to “sell” my DLCs from Diddi and the Bugs, either via Ko-Fi or itch.io, I’m still figuring that out).

An uncertain future for my Discord. My own Discord server is almost dead 24/7, so I have to choose between shutting that down or give it a new purpose.
